The interface, application services, database and authentication layers are maintained separately so each can evolve without disrupting the others.
Ledger-backed accounting
Accounts hold no mutable balance field. Balances are derived from immutable ledger entries, which makes reconciliation and reversals verifiable.
Provider ready
Card issuing, payment rails and KYC providers can be integrated behind the same interfaces once a licensed institution is in place.
